Don’t Cry for Me
Life is a journey. A part of my journey was writing my autobiography, “Don’t Cry for Me“.It was interesting, to say the least. I learned a lot about the publishing world. There are almost as many publishers, editors, agents and books on writing and publishing as there are blogs out there. Difference is…blogs make for fun, interesting and informative reading.
My book was published by a POD (print on demand) publisher. POD only took two months versus the year or two or more going through traditional methods. Going through all of what’s required, not the least of which were getting reject after reject, writing umpteen-million letters saying the same thing over and over just to publish a story I wrote, pretty much, for myself was not something I was willing to take on. One of the other downsides to traditional publishing I might not be able to keep the wording exactly as I wrote it…which, for me, was important. I only published my story at the urging of my friends. So, it’s out there now for those that run across it. However…if you’d like for me to download it to you…FREE…just shoot me an e-mail to from_diana@yahoo.com and I’ll be happy to send you a copy. It’s an easy 3 hour read (my life was colorful, as are most of our lives, but not that long at the time).
The front cover was one of the reasons I got more heavily into photography, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs. My sister is the artist with a brush…I, on the other hand, need my LCD screen. As you can see from the front cover (my design), I scribble well.
What I’ve learned in my 56 years on this planet is that life is all about the journey.
